You pay once, in US dollars, for the pieces in your cart. We do not store your card number, and we never bill you again.
Cards we accept
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit and debit cards. We do not accept checks, money orders, cash on delivery or bank transfers, and we do not offer payment plans.
How payment works
- Choose your pieces and sizes and add them to your cart.
- Go to checkout and enter your name, email address and shipping address.
- Review the shipping method, the shipping cost and any sales tax. Everything is shown before you pay.
- Enter your card details on the secure payment form and place the order.
- Your card is authorized and charged once. You receive an order confirmation by email, and a tracking number when the order ships.
How your card details are protected
Every page that asks for payment details is served over HTTPS, which you can confirm by the padlock in your browser. Your card number, expiry date and card code are entered into a secure payment form supplied by our PCI DSS-compliant payment gateway and are sent from your browser to the gateway in encrypted form. They do not pass through our servers and they are not stored on them. We receive only a confirmation, the card brand and the last four digits, which is what appears on your receipt.
Address verification (AVS) and card code (CVV) checks run on every order, and we support 3-D Secure authentication where your card issuer asks for it. An order that looks unusual may be held briefly for review. If we need to confirm something we email you, and we do not ship the order until it is settled. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it to fill and support orders.
One-time billing
Each order is a single charge. We do not sell subscriptions, memberships or automatic reorders, and we do not keep your card on file for later. If you place another order, you enter your card again. Nothing on this site renews on its own.
What appears on your statement
Your statement shows one line from MANHATTAN GOODS CO. A pending authorization can appear as soon as you pay; the final charge posts when the order is accepted. If an order is canceled before it ships, the authorization is released, although some banks take 3 to 7 business days to free the funds. If you see a charge you do not recognize, write to us with the amount and the date and we will find the order.
Currency and taxes
All prices and charges are in US dollars. Because we ship only within the United States, there is no currency conversion and no import duty. Sales tax is calculated at checkout for destinations where we are required to collect it and is shown on its own line before you pay.
If a payment is declined
The most common causes are a billing address that does not match the one on file with your bank, an expired card, a card code typed incorrectly, or a security hold placed by the issuer on a larger purchase. Check the details and try again. If it still fails, call the number on the back of your card or use another card. We cannot see why a bank declined a payment, only that it did, and a declined payment never creates an order.
Questions and disputes
If something is wrong with a charge or an order, please contact us before you dispute it with your bank. We reply within one business day and refund any justified claim promptly, as a credit to the same card. Our Returns & Cancellations page explains the 30-day return window, and our Shipping page explains what happens if a parcel is late or lost.
To report a security concern, write to manhattangoodsco@gmail.com with the subject line “Security” and we will respond the same business day.
