Description
A tray for the first and last thirty seconds of the day: keys, wallet, watch and phone land in the same place every time. The midnight leather is stretched over a rigid form so the tray holds its shape on a desk or a hotel shelf.
Midnight full-grain leather, 1.3 mm, wrapped over a rigid shaped base with a wipe-clean gray felt lining and burnished edges. Four small nickel rivets reinforce the corners and a non-slip base keeps it still on glass or stone.
It sits on a dresser, a desk or a hotel shelf, and folds nothing: it is a tray. Place it by the door for keys and a wallet, or beside the bed for a watch and a phone; the soft felt stops metal from scratching and the raised sides keep small things from sliding off.
Care. Wipe the leather with a dry or barely damp cloth and buff the nickel hardware with a soft cloth. Condition the leather with a neutral balm twice a year and store the piece out of direct sun.
