The Zip-Around Portfolio closes completely, which is what a bag rail, a rain shower or a crowded train asks for. It holds a pad, a tablet and a day of papers in a flat, firm rectangle and opens like a book once the zip has run round three sides.
Black full-grain leather, 1.4 mm, over a firm board, with a zip that runs on three sides and a brushed-nickel pull on a leather tab. Inside: a tablet pocket for up to 11 in, two document sleeves, six card slots, a pen loop and a pad holder with a 50-sheet ruled pad included. The edges are burnished and the corners rounded to resist wear.
It carries a working day without a bag: pad on one side, tablet and papers on the other.
Care. Wipe the leather with a dry or barely damp cloth and buff the nickel hardware with a soft cloth. Condition the leather with a neutral balm twice a year and store the piece out of direct sun.
