The Everyday Leather Briefcase is cut for a working day that starts on a train and ends at a desk: a clean rectangle with square edges, two flat top handles and a single buckled flap that closes over the main compartment. It holds its shape empty and full, so it still looks pressed on the third meeting of the day.
The body is full-grain leather, 1.6 mm, with burnished edges and bonded-thread stitching at every stress point. Inside, a padded laptop compartment sits behind a zip pocket and two slip pockets, and the lining is a charcoal woven fabric that shows what is in the bag. A detachable shoulder strap clips to solid nickel D-rings.
Choose 13 in for a slim laptop and a notebook, 15 in for a standard laptop, charger and a folder, or 17 in when the bag also carries a day of printed papers.
Care. Wipe the leather with a dry or barely damp cloth and buff the nickel hardware with a soft cloth. Condition the leather with a neutral balm twice a year and store the piece out of direct sun.
