Description
The Weekender Duffel is the bag for two nights away that still has to look right at a client dinner. Black leather, a long zip that opens the whole top, and a barrel shape that packs without fuss. It stands on the floor of a hotel room on its flat base and lives overhead on a plane.
Full-grain leather, 1.8 mm, with reinforced base feet, a zip-closed ventilated shoe pocket at one end and a zip wet pocket inside. The handles are rolled and stitched through the body, and a padded detachable strap clips to heavy nickel swivel hooks. The long zip runs on two nickel pulls so the bag opens from either side.
36 L is a one-night bag small enough to carry on when packed softly. 48 L carries a weekend, 60 L a long weekend with shoes, and 72 L a week for one person who packs sensibly. The three larger sizes are better checked or carried by car.
Care. Wipe the leather with a dry or barely damp cloth and buff the nickel hardware with a soft cloth. Condition the leather with a neutral balm twice a year and store the piece out of direct sun.
